Dear ,

Thanks for signing up to the Backup Exec FAQ newsletter.

Recent Site Developments

Some new articles have been added to the site, specifically addressing Exchange 2007 and Exchange mailbox backups. These are quite large areas, and I'm sure there will be more articles following on from this.
There has also been the addition of a "Real World" category, thanks to an article submitted by Jay Clark. This is to address those issues where you use Backup Exec in a different way to how Symantec intended. If you have any tips, please submit an article!

Recent Backup Exec Developments

This month has seen the release of hotfixes to address problems with synthetic backups (10.x and 11d), and problems with scheduling (11d). Hopefully this will now mean your backups will run when you want them to! I'm sure all of you using 11d will have been frustrated by this problem already.
Also available is an updated Device Driver Installer for 11d, adding support for the Sony LIB-302 and Sony LIB-152 tape libraries.
These updates are available from http://www.symantec.com/enterprise/support/downloads.jsp?pid=15047

Hint Of The Month

The Backup Exec FAQ site has an RSS feed! You can subscribe to the feed using an RSS reader (built in to Firefox and Internet Explorer 7), so you'll know when there's a new article on the site.

We want your feedback!

Is there something you want to see on the site? Perhaps you don't like the layout, or the way articles are organised. Maybe you have ideas on what you want to see in the newsletter. If so, let us know!

Thanks, for trusting me with your email. I hope you found this newsletter useful.
