Just a reminder that version 12.5 of Backup Exec is now available.

Improvements over version 12 can be summarised as:

Changes to licensing agents for virtual servers. Now if you have 30 virtual servers running on a VMware instance, instead of needing 30 remote agent licenses a single license will suffice.
Automatic setup and configuration of VMware Consolidated Backup.
Granular recovery of virtual server backups.
New Infrastructure Manager to manage upgrade and patch management of Backup Exec installations.
Support for Windows Small Business Server 2008, Windows Essential Business Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008.

Backup Exec 12.5 installation files can be downloaded as the trialware from Symantec's site (https://www4.symantec.com/Vrt/offer?a_id=51792) or through FileConnect (http://fileconnect.symantec.com)
