The "Installed Updates" feature (and the link to Veritas Update) doesn't always show the latest updates available. For example, if you have Service Pack 2, and Service Pack 3 has been released, update may not show that as an option.
Additionally when new updates are installed, old updates may appear on the available updates list, even if they've already been installed. For example, Service Pack 3 has been installed, and then Service Pack 2 is listed as available and not installed (even though it was installed). This is a known and common problem. When checking for updates, go directly to Symantec's web site, as recommended in how to keep Backup Exec up-to-date. This applies to all versions of Backup Exec, and may be a problem with the Symantec server that reports to the update agent. Last update : 29-04-2007 22:30
