![]() If you're unlucky enough to be in a country affected by the changes to DST changes (still with me?), you need to apply a Hotfix to Backup Exec 11 to prevent possibly missing a job. Despite publishing a document on February 16 2007 saying that Backup Exec wasn't affected by the changes, as Windows handles the change... Since Backup Exec for Windows and NetWare products pick up their time from the operating system, this issue does not affect the functionality. Hence customers can be assured that this change in DST schedule will not impact the Backup Exec for Windows and NetWare product line as long as their operating systems are capable of handling this change. ... on March 7 2007 (2 days before the change takes place) a Hotfix (Hotfix 16 - 32 bit , 64 bit ) is released, with the description, Daylight Saving Time (DST) can cause the first occurrence of any job scheduled to run after the DST transition to be skipped. There is a convoluted workaround available too. Missing jobs at Daylight Savings switchover has been a common complaint with previous versions of Backup Exec. This Hotfix is only for Backup Exec 11. |
