AD Agent
It's also worth noting that the AD Agent allows you to restore not just objects within AD, but also individual attributes. For example, just the membership to a group, or just the description field to a computer. 
 
At least on our setup, backing up with the AD agent adds 20-30 minutes to the domain controller's backup time.
