| "Installed Updates" doesn't always show newest updates |

Additionally when new updates are installed, old updates may appear on the available updates list, even if they've already been installed. For example, Service Pack 3 has been installed, and then Service Pack 2 is listed as available and not installed (even though it was installed). This is a known and common problem. When checking for updates, go directly to Symantec's web site, as recommended in how to keep Backup Exec up-to-date. This applies to all versions of Backup Exec, and may be a problem with the Symantec server that reports to the update agent. |

The "Installed Updates" feature (and the link to Veritas Update) doesn't always show the latest updates available. For example, if you have Service Pack 2, and Service Pack 3 has been released, update may not show that as an option.
