If you have two copies of the same file on the server you are backing up, what does Backup Exec do about it?
Backup Exec currently has no data deduplication features. If you have two copies of the same file in your selection list, they will each be backed up. Data deduplication is a feature of Symantec's Netbackup product. You can request data deduplication as an enhancement at http://enhancement.symantec.com Last update : 31-10-2007 09:25
